This page is dedicated to the research I am conducting on various frameworks, pedagogical approaches, skills and developmental tools aimed at the development of New Pedagogies and Deep Learning.
Through researching these I hope to answer the question:
What teacher practice knowledge and skills are required to introduce 21st Century Learning skills into my professional practice?
The publications that most of my work will be based on are those of Michael Fullan and Maria Langworthy. Their work has been contributing to a global partnership on New Pedagogies for Deep Learning.
In 2015, as part of the subject TAR (Teacher as Researcher) we were required to conduct a literature review that would ultimately feed into the research project in 2016. Through this research project I hope to uncover a variety of teaching strategies that will develop my teaching practice, but also improve the approach of education development and programming at the La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary.
Over time I will post various links to sources of information that are relevant to my research and teaching practice. To begin, here are a few useful ones:
New Pedagogy for Deep Learning Global Partnership
NPDL information on the DET website
A framework for the La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary
These are approaches I intend to investigate further to inform my teaching practice and the development of a framework to suit the La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary
Authentic Pedagogy
Productive Pedagogy
5e Instructional Model
Critical Pedagogy
Creative Pedagogy
